Agree, this setup is very nice! Though initially I was a bit confused realizing that this is an Old West city. But then I remembered Firefly :)

Interesting looking table, any more pics of the game, or are you just going to tease us?  lol

Sorry, mate, no AAR or further pics.
The lighting in the 'gaming are' at this time of year in the evening is not very cooperative.
Later on in the year it is possible, though, especially with the clocks changing soon.
I just took this one in case we have to set up the table the same way for future games.
 :-[

Great set up and game ideas mate  8) 8) 8)

Cheers, mate.
The ideas worked well, and the areas of 'slowed' movement certainly affected the game adding a certain amount of head scratching at times.

Thanks, Alex.
To be honest, I didnt really 'get' Firefly, it just did not do it for me.
This set up is much more influenced by the idea of our campaign taking place in a much more 'frontier' setting on the edge of human space, so not so much tech about.
That and the fact that I have a bunch of Old West stuff that works with this setting, of course...
 ;)

When you have it sussed, can you give me a shout and let me know, please?

Another shot of a game set-up....

Again no AAR*.

Long story cut short: A clandestine was being held between Cult leader 'Bombast' and representatives of the INSO Corporation regarding an arns deal, which was promptly gate-crashed by an Inquisition strike team looking to capture the Bombast.
The Inquisition managed to take down most of the minions of the Cult and Corporation, including a Chaos Marine, but Corporation Executive and his bodyguard escaped as did the Bombast, who fled alone into the countryside and is currentlybeing pursued by the forces of the Emperor as you read... ;)

*This picture was taken during the afternoon when it was set up, light is not good enough for proper pictures in the evenings (when we play) in that part of the house for proper pictures.

The evenings are getting lighter, though.
 ;) :D

Nice Paul, the green trees look like they belong with your multi-purpose desert baseing. Very smart, I shall have to nick that idea if I get to trees.

The fish rocks certainly work don't they! 8) 8)

Run bombast run! Keep running!

Cheers

Twas another great game courtesy of Mason.

Alas, although my warband took the minions apart we let the main bad guys escape :'(.

I can see where we went wrong, all coming on from the same table edge (Mason, as GM, did stress in set up several times 'You can come on from any table edge, doesn't all have to be the same one' But I didn't take heed and grouped together. This was for mutual support, but in future I'd do things a little differently to cut off potential escape routes; it's a learning experience all the time.

Discovering a Thousand Sons traitor marine came as a bit of a surprise! He did have a decent stand up fight with my combat servitor Draper before he put the poor unfortunate mech's lights out (luckily only temporarily). After that we just surrounded him and pumped manstopper rounds into him until we overloaded his refractor field and found weak spots in hs ancient power armour until he eventually fell over! By that time the baddies had made their escape...

One gleeful part of the game came when the Bombast attempted his pyro psychic power and nearly fried himself! Mason decided that discretion was the better part of valour after that, and had it away on his pointy-toed cultist boots :D. That was a moral victory if not an actual one.

For anyone curious about Inquisimunda I highly recommend it; it is essentially Necromunda without points or ammo rolls. All very enjoyable thus far, we are playing again next week and I think there may be a photo op or two as we are playing during the day :).

So inquisimunda is a house rule version?

That sounds like a belly full of laughs! lol

Well, it is not far off of Necromunda, just because we are all familiar with those rules already.
No point in complicating things, eh?
 ;)

As for having a laugh: We do try.

Jeff965 has finished painting up an Outland War Party for me, so expect them to make an appearance in our campaign soon.

Here they are based up....

Inquisitorial Retinue.... (RT/-I-Munda Project) UD:21/04
« Reply #281 on: 21 April 2016, 08:26:16 PM »
As promised earlier on in the thread, here is the retinue of Inquisitor Montufeul, painted by Legionnaire Bert and featuring heavily in our I-Munda campaign...

L-R: Eagle Eye, Petit Jean (both Warrior-Scouts), Long Lais (Sniper-Scout), Inquisitor Montuefal, Interrogator Everard and Draper (former Pit-Slave).

(You can bet I have spelt at least one of the names wrong.....)

Thanks, chaps.

We played the next game of the campaign on the same day that I took that picture AND I managed to get a few of the game, so a report of sorts shall follow later.
