Thanks guys   :)
I love the Inquisitor artwork from the rulebook, it really fired my imagination when it first came out - and still does to this day. You should all have a try yourself if you happen across any random 54mm or 1/32 models, it really is liberating to work in this scale, and pushes your modelling and painting skills.

I just revisited this thread as I am looking at how I might represent Ravenor on the table, having been reading the last in a trilogy featuring him, and vaguely remembered there being just such a representation here...and wow, what a truly inspired piece it is! It goes way beyond anything I had in mind ie the interior but it is a real show stopper so why not!

My 54mm SF endeavours are spread across the genres; I have started with Star wars as there are basic figures available which can be used with minimal conversion, but it is my intention to  include Inquisitor and a Retinue, and some Chaos creatures too. Oddly enough I have done a retinue but in 1/18th scale ie 3 3/4 inch/95mm figures!

Perhaps I will start a new thread on our (Skirmish Wargamers Collective) efforts in SF.

Thanks Mike for your kind comments. I love the Eisenhorn and Ravenor books, hands down some of my favourite 40k, and even overall books. I have a few of the Star Wars command models, they make an ok base for Inquisitor models - particularly if you swap out the obvious 'stormtrooper' type heads.

Would love to see a new thread, particularly of some 95mm models - how cool!

Cross post from the Conclave, but seeing as I haven't seen any photos at all 'in the wild' of the Kromlech 54mm Kaptin Orc, and no reviews...

Well when this guy, Kaptin Orc came up for a deal from Kromlech I couldn't resist. I present to you my 54mm Ork Kommando ready to be painted.

As I haven't found any kit photos online here is how he comes. Main problem from our gaming point of view is the left hand is part of the brick wall. It's a cool pose but not really practical for a gaming piece.

Lovely crisp detail.

OK so after some very very careful cutting with a jewellers saw I was able to remove the hand from the wall, but a bit of damage occurred.

Scratch built a slugga and choppa

And then resculpted the hand

And here is the result. A cool model with a big presence. He is not massive, I'd say normal Ork Boy sized, but that suits my plans well.

And size comparisons

Hope you like him, any ideas on paint scheme?

Cheers the Baron

Looks a bit like Captain America so my first thought would be to copy that characters colour scheme.

Cheers guys

Well spotted! I think that may have been a bit of inspiration from the sculptor - here is the model without conversions...

I won't be going that route as I want it to be a bit more serious. I did consider switching out the shield but it was too nice to ditch.
As he is in a body suit there really isn't much skin there, am maybe thinking camo pants and a plain top. More kommando like

Well I'd still want to follow the superhero trope and have an outlandish colour scheme. Purple works well with green.

It's up to you though!

Looking forward to this.  I have a few Inquisitor models, but I don't have the courage for 54mm right now.  Too rusty.

Quick and nasty 54mm scale Inquisitorial staff car. Made from a $1.25 op-shop toy.

Beginning with this

And little conversion (cover windows, plastic sheeting on roof and hood, a few imperial eagles)

And done!

An Inquisitor and her retinue disembark from their staff car
