Raging Heroes new Kickstarter
« on: March 13, 2015, 12:43:58 AM »
So news just came across the wire that Raging Heroes is starting their new Kickstarter on March 25th.  It is a two week campaign trying to fund six armies.  2 dark elf fantasy armies, 2 dark elf sci-fi armies, 1 "Battle Nun" fantasy army, and 1 "Battle Nun" sci-fi army.  I've been looking forward to this since their first concept art for the not Sisters of Battle showed up.

I hope they reduce the cheesecake a bit for the nuns, but we'll see.  More info here:

I could see the use of both fantasy and sci-fi versions (especially if the sci-fi version does not go too much OTT).
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Same here.  If I have to choose only one, the sci-fi nuns are where I'm putting my money.  I'm a Sisters of Battle player from way back, so I kind of hope they show GW just how much money they could have made from new SoB sculpts.

Very interesting, I hope the fantasy version of the sisters works out well.  That's a concept I would like to use.

Looking forward to it. I missed out on TGG 1 due to a lack of funds, by the time this swings around I hope to be able to pick up a squad or two and a special character.

Interesting that its only 2 weeks rather than the whole month,  Blood Rage is a 2 week campaign as well.  I wonder if thats the new thing, to prevent folks from getting distracted from all of the other projects that get launched within a month?  I can see how that would work, many of these projects are so well known now, that doing the full month may only hinder the campaign as backers are more likely to get poached by the latest cool campaign.  Its usually only the first two and the last two days when the majority of the funds come in...

I thought so too, until I saw www.kicktraq.com, and although there's a little increase at the beginning and end of a project - most are consistent over the month.

How did they do with the first kickstarter? Has everything promised been delivered? Did it arrive  in a reasonable time? How's the quality of the sculpting medium and detail?

They do seem to fit with modern GW in the sense that their figures are typically MAXIMUM EXCESS TO THE MAXXXX!!!1one

A bit like the miniatures equivalent of eating a huge bag of really bad candy, the kind that's so awful that it actually manages to make you sick way before you can even finish.
