Here's the cave system lid sprayed with two coats of matt black car primer (having first slapped a load of PVA over the rocky outcrops, to doubly secure them in place... )

Next, using a decorators' spraygun attached to a compressor, it gets a couple of coats of base ground colour...

Once dried, some white is added to the mix in the paintgun, and some further dustings achieve the finished ground colour...

And here in situ, with the rocks painted in...


It looks very obviously 'separate' right now, but trust me, the foliage, grass, scrub and a few trees will tie the whole thing together visually...
Meanwhile, I've also fixed the skulls and bones into position... Outside one of the cave entrances... Surely only a fool would enter here...


And at the back of one of the interior caves... What kind of animal lives in a cave like this?


I've also started work on a DeeZee mammoth. It requires a fair amount of Green Stuff to achieve the degree of hairiness I expect in my pachyderms...
