Beautiful brushwork :-* :-* :-*. I feel like I can barely get pigment onto the plastic by comparison...

Cause I want to stay with the plastic theme, I had to convert something to get some cav on the field.

I used the perry light cavalry box as a base.
So here are e few WIP pics.

From left to right: first, just a headswap from the HYW box, 2. got a torso and arms from the HYW french infantry box, 3rd got a little greenstuff chainmail and the last guy got a hood-neck-thing modelled. All heads are from the french infantry box.

Not intended for the same unit...just a first test to see wich way to go....:)

btw. what a lovely box indeed... :-*

Cheers,
Don

Very nice conversions.
Your thread, as a few others, is really good to show all the possibilities of the plastic boxes from Perry Miniatures.

I was considering the same thing for a unit of mounted infantry for LR - and you've totally just done it for me. They look splendid!

Glad you like the cav....;)

Here is the next batch of french.

Little bit boring so far, just crosssbows and knights. But the more fancy stuff is on the painting board....;)

Cheers,
Don

Oh wow, those cavalry conversions are fantastic! I hadn't thought of using the Agincourt spear arms on the WOTR light cavalry, I'll have to give that a go at least.

You just convinced me to go for plastic for my medieval needs  :o

You really nail it, a perfect balance between tabletop "readability" (so I'm sure the figure stays nice no matter the distance or light conditions) and showcase painting technical level. COngrats !

Which unit entry would you use for mounted infantry? Mounted Yeomen? I am just wondering as I picked up a box of Perry's WoTR Light Cavalry to make Mounted Crossbowmen or whatever.
