As small playtesting for our wee Berlin HYW campaign I made a small solo game.

I stumbled over this fantastic site:

http://hour11gaming.blogspot.de/p/song-of-blades-heroes-stuff.html

there you can find all the old Warhammer-Skirmish scenarios translated for "Song of Blades..." wonderfull!

I decided to test the "Silence the Watchtower" scenario. Cool cause you can start with just 150p for the defender..:)

Okay here are a few pics.

The attackers under Sir Barnesley, trying to silence the watchtower, before the signals will warn the nearby hamlets.
total 300 points.

Bad luck for the english, not only is old Phillippe, the guardian of the watchtower present, but also Jaques de Brunelle, a young knight from the south with his entourage.
150 points.

Here you can see the gaming table (50x50cm). The english deploy at the bottom, the french start with one man in the tower, one man nere by and the rest starting from one Long away.

The english get the first turn...but hey old Phillipe is starting the fire: just 6 turns are left before the alarm will get off...

The english knight and his lads storm to the tower and get all activations done... Pierce the men at arms get in close combat but is too exhausted to get the french bucklerman down...

The french activate first Luigi, the mercenary crossbowman from genova.
The italian takes an aimed shot at the next longbowman und hits him badly: a tripple.

The Bowman next to the unlucky fellow runs away...

Jaques de Brunelle the french knight is more than happy to see the first english down or fleeing. But stumbles over a root and misses his activation....

The infight at the tower is getting harder. Pierre another billmen of the french tries to attack the longbowmen on the right of he english, but is shot in the leg, and once fallen get finished by a timed blow with a hammer...poor Pierre.

The Bucklerman get rid of his foe and kills his oponent.

The casualties of english are rising...

Now all eyes are on Sir Barnsley, he tries to climb in full armour up to the opening wich is leading to the plattform to get the damned fire out. He almost can reach the entrance as a stone gives way and he falls down...turn over!!

Now Jaques de Brunelle has the initiative again and calls for a last attack. But he just gets to the tower...

The bucklerman manages to get the man at arms down, but recives an aimed blow in the back. Thats the end for this fellow....

Jaques de Brunelle is running out of troops. Old Phillipe in the tower is not a warrior and the italian mercenary will flee, when the tide turns.
But Luigi aimes his last bolt direct at the last english longbowman. A devlish hit wich panics the other islanders...a tripple again...

De Brunell kills with his free hack one of the billman and the english quit the field....the bloody battle is over.

The scenario works fine and the new stats for the fighter (combat 2 or 3) lead to a much more bloody game...;)

I am really looking foreward on testing more of the scenarios...:)

Cheers,
Don

Great Perry's! I am a Perry fanboy too. I went through Fireforge first though, before finding the work of the Perry Brothers. I love the games! Great Stuff!

Inspirational! Lovely figures, great scenery, and exciting reports. Thanks also for the link to the WHS scenarios done for SBH. That'll come in handy.
