I fully agree with you and I have a nother batch of plastcis kitbashes for venators which totally prove your point. Only today did I realise that the carnival of chaos is also very very close to the Nurgle mutant gang sketch you can find in the WD rules...

I made them quite anonymous on purpose to represent the nameless caharcaters who will probably die first and be replaced fairly rapidly...

Good thing they're wearing red then  ;)

Excellent work and I really like the Confrontation figures  8) 8)

Yeah, but they're missing the prerequisite uniform insignia:

Must say this thread is among my favorites for the superb conversions. Just top notch creativity that really captures the vibe of the original Rogue Trader universe. 8)

Well if you look at "Space Roger and his Galactic farers" on page 1 you'll notice that I was heavily inspired byt these. I should probably have a Rogue trader in yellow to lead them to deat... to more exciting adventures I mean...

Thanks for the kind words ^^

Indeed I looked at Roger and pals along with all the rest of your outstanding work. C'est magnifique, and color me jealous indeed that I didn't hang onto more of my original Imperial Army figures and buy up a couple hundred more while I was at it back in the day...! 8)

Since you seem to love the Helmawr gangers, I thought I'd need a good boss for the lot of them so a Noble from th eold families seems mandatory.
I therefore used the colony87 Noble with a similar colour scheme but with darler shades to give him a richer look :

Here he is along some of the agents working for him :

And here's another shot of him next to his fellow colony 87 amphibian friend (lovely range really)

Yo ucan learn more about this Jolly fellow in the blogpost HERE

Helmawr's rump! Outstanding! Tho' the Arbites would probably want a word with the amphibian fella - that's if the Ecclesiarchy don't get him first, or the local Inquisitor doesn't arrive before them...

Those Colony87 figures are already on my personal bucket list as it is, but your latest iteration made me think instantly of the villanous Baron Harkonnen from Dune (the novel, not the film). Just splendidly executed, and the muted red really takes the figure to a whole new level. Once again, c'est magnifique, "Monsieur Sans Arriere!" :D
