More News from Brigade Games/Company B
« on: October 09, 2008, 09:52:59 PM »
Hi Folks,

Lon at Brigade Games has just placed up on his yahoo group the Italian and Austrian officers designed by the very talented Mr Paul Hicks:

Other news:
From Lon"The French Artillery Crew in Kepis is being production molded at the moment. That pack, the new Austrians and Italians, several Russian Civil War/WWI packs, several Pacific War packs, the first wave of the Arab Revolt joint range with Artizan Designs will start casting shortly. I anticipate getting all of these for release at the end of the month.

Paul Hicks is working on additions to the French range as well as additions to the African and Gallipoli theatres.

I also have another resin vehicle that will be released the first week of November at Fall In. This should make WW1 fans very happy."

From Bruce"The two additional cars for the armored train are done but aren't casting
the way we'd like so there's some production management to be done there.

The first of the 'civilian' train cars are done. It's a prototype and the
whole civilian train is scheduled for year end.

If you go to the group's photo section and look in the folder Company B
RCW/back of Beyond there's a picture of the 3 Rolls Royces. From left to
right, WWI/arab revolt with wire wheels, Interwar revised body and turret,
LRDG version North Africa. The last two hopefully will be available to look
at and preorder at Fall In.

The Japanese tank Chi-Ha has begun production casting.

The Japanese Sumida railcar will begin production casting in the next three
weeks.

The Morris CWT is now available in two body styles with 4 stowage
accessories and a soft skin back.

The Australian version of the Stuart tank as well as the early Stuart used
on Guadalcanal will be available in November.

The Stryker is in stock with Lon.

Given all of the above coming to fruition, the Pulitov, which is the current
priority is a bit behind schedule."

Chow for now,

Helen
Best wishes,
Helen

Wow, that's a lot of new stuff here!
I do not have even enough time to read the whole thread!
Anxiously waiting to reach this side of the Atlantic!

I also have some Italians in Armour and the Austrian "Dads Army" for WW1 on my desk. Both these troop types were used a lot and very early during the war in the Alps.

That's great news! Are there other pics of those RRAC variants apart from the yahoo-group? It would be interesting to see how they look... o_o o_o o_o
Oh, and those RRACs in WWII were used by the RAF (Western Desert/Iraq and Syria) and the 11th Hussars (Western Desert) but never by the LRDG.
A bit off topic: Many moons ago, after checking lots of pictures, I converted a RRAC for WWII use in 15mm, so it's good to hear that they do a (hopefully) correct variant at least in 28mm.
TANK POLO? God, how our gardener hated that game!

Those are very tempting, Paul. Having Mr Biggins books fresh in mind I am very keen on doing some Alps/Isonzo front wargaming.

I was around Michael Broadbent's place yesterday and saw the two new Rolls. All I can say is that they are both little cuties and especially the 1940s style Rolls bristling with every weapon known to man in the turret. This would have to be one of the best models I've seen around in along time. Of course the only thing missing is the bath tub on the back deck 8)
