It is a subject often brought up: Should there be a Hall of Fame?

Well, as one moderator recently put it: One man's meat is another's poison, so we will never have a consensual agreement with this this one.

So, instead, how about putting up your favourite three threads?
That way all those that have joined and missed out on earlier posts do not miss out.
 :D

I will list my Top Three, all posted prior to my joining the LAF, as I feel that everyone should get a chance to see them as they were what really influenced me to sign up and join in rather than just lurk... ;)

In no particular order, here they are:

Zeppelin, by gamer Mac and AndyM.
An amazing build full of character and the attention to detail is phenomenal ....

Geezers- Underneath The Arches..... , by Overlord
A brilliant build of the East End of London, full of fun with a shedload of '70's references thrown in for good measure.

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=7181.0

Nosferatu- A Symphony of Horror! by vikotnik
Simply the best monochrome project that I have ever seen.

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=3846.0

You will probably disagree with my choices, as everyone has their own favourites, but check them out.
They are well worth a look.
 :D

Now, what are your favourites?

This one?  ;)
Can't honestly think.
At the moment my top one would have to be captain bloods beyond the donga. That made me want to build more terrain.

Mr Saturday's fimir army would be there as well.

Some great nominations there, chaps.
All well deserved.
(Except for that Krappefortt rubbish, of course....).

I thought that this would be a good way to attract attention to some great stuff that people may have missed.
So, come on chaps (and non-chaps!), post your nominations so we can all gawp at the goodness on here.
 :D

Going back now for a look again at Uti's Mountain Lair, as I have not looked at that one for a while.

Dunno about three, but I'm fond of To Westeros with Captain Blood.

Oh, and Beefcake reminds me of Mr. Saturday's Fimir. An epic tale of army building.

Have to think about the other two, but DeafNala's "The Last Hurrah Project":
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=26140.0

Is definitely one man's swan song. Sure, the swan is a little twisted, but beautiful too.

It is almost impossible to chose. I think all of the above.

And I can't believe that no one has mentioned Masons Upsheet Creek! http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=60011.0

Or Wyrmallas Fallout thread http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=60331.0

Thantsant's Orc's Drift:
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=17333.0

Anything the Prof does for more than 1 page! ;)

There were several threads abt folks building/painting Saxons via Musketeer that I can't even refer back to because they make my humble efforts look so poor...

Yes, extremely difficult to pick just 3. I can think of at least a dozen 'hall of fame' worthy threads...  ;)

But the ones that spring to mind first are:

Hammers' 'Chicken Race on the Arumbaya' http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=29611.0
Admiral Benbow's gold mine http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=7443.0
Silent Invader's 'Alien' - http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=25459.0 and http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=37419.0

Mason's 'Upsheet Creek' would have to be there or thereabouts too: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=60011.0

Truthfully, any project by these four is well worth another look - they're all top craftsmen and ingenious modellers and painters.
Of course not everyone has the vision / artistic skills to pull off this level of work - talents are blessings that are unevenly distributed. Twas ever thus  :(
(It's why I can't play a musical instrument despite years of trying...  :'()
But there's certainly something to be learned from these chaps' commitment to seeing a good idea through to a fully realised project. And a dedication to only making things that look fab  :)
