Perks's Peculiar Perry Plastics
« on: May 28, 2015, 03:48:07 PM »
Ok perhaps not that peculiar but these figures are unique if only because I've attacked them with a scalpel and greenstuff. The forthcoming single based figures have various different modifications and tweaks to them, some more complex than others.  They are all a combination of parts taken from three of the Perry's WoTR plastic range namely:

Wars of the Roses Infantry 1455 - 1487
Mounted Men at Arms 1450 - 1500
Mercenaries European Infantry 1450 - 1500

I didn't use any of the Plastic Foot Knights 1450-1500 (WR 50) boxset simply because I haven't bought them! I'm also trying to limit the amount of figures wearing full harness as I don't believe that would have been that many on the field at one time.

First up is a small vignette I made in an attempt to reduce my plastic pile. After realising I'd bought too many figures I decided to make and paint them rather than just keep on buying them. The red circles indicate where I have chopped and changed the original figure.

Excellent work! The best vignettes always perfectly capture a moment on the battlefield - this certainly does that.

Very nice conversion.  One question. Is he giving succour to the prone figure  :) or looting him?  :-[

Very well done.

I really must try hacking up some plastic figures to try new compositions. But I think that I will be too ham fisted and just end up with bits that I can't get to stick back together again.

Thanks for all your kind comments. There are quite a few more conversions/mods of individual figures I've made but I'll post these as and when I paint then.

Very nice conversion.  One question. Is he giving succour to the prone figure  :) or looting him?  :-[

I had intended succour but you may have just given me an idea for another vignette  ;)
