Okay, if you are going to show me this much good stuff in one frigging post, you knew this had to be coming.  Where did you get:

- the quad runner?
- the patio table umbrella?
- the various crates?
- the propane tanks?

Please?

Hi Sinewgrab, so answers as follows:

- Quad bike is the Airfix Afghanistan kit (you get two!)
- Patio table umbrella came from China - see ebay link - they do loads of good stuff - sun chairs and tables too.

- The various crates are a real mix - anvil industries, puppetswar, the scene, AFV model stowage kits, Spartan Scenics, Fenris games
- The propane tanks come from Zinge industries. Link below:

Hope that helps!

It's great to see a work in progress photographs. It makes me realise just how much work goes into one of your models. It's not just the great skill you show with your painting, it's the amount of time you must have spent sourcing the materials. Tell me, do you have boxes full of bits and bobs and just rummage through to see what looks right, or do you make sketches and plans before hand?

Thanks again all - having fun with this one - Rob, I have a ridiculous amount of bits. Pics below show the 'small parts' selection. I have about another five boxes worth of bigger bits. I am a terrible bits hoarder and can't help buying sets of boxes and crates whenever I see them. As for how things get built, I tend to just grab a load of interesting bits and keep playing with them until something emerges. I normally have a rough idea in mind of the end result but I am not in the same league as those who carefully plan things. I've seen those sketches and admire them, but I can't do it myself!

Eilif, the copter is an Italeria 1/48 model. Had no rotor blades so I got it extra cheap on ebay. Again I often look out for part finished or damaged models as they go cheap and have loads of good bits in them.

lol lol lol I stand deftly corrected, even as my credit card winces at the fact that I will take the compliment as an excuse to keep on buying...

A 'not particularly impressive' update, but getting there. Now finished the base model and the extras, including a few stand alone heavy weapons for sale, some more junk to nest the helicopter in and some weapons work benches. Also added gas pipes and electricity cables. Everything also now has it's base 'rust coat' which almost certainly makes these pics harder to see, but some update is better than nothing I guess...

Moving....slowly....forward....

Speechless.  You should market this as a kit...
