What weathering technique do you use?

Masking? Sponging?

Thanks all for the great comments - really encouraging for doing more!

Nedius, I use salt and hairspray. I find it's hard to beat for bigger models. Technique explained here:

Mac

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

Been working on a few vehicles for my Scrap Hunters. Some re-purposed toys here plus a Company B Dingo and an Anvil Industries Cobra APC.

The Cobra is almost straight out of the box because there is so much detail it doesn't need much work. Just changed the wheels for some from Zinge (and some hubcaps from no idea where).

I've 'wastelanded' the Dingo a bit more and I have lots of stowage to go on this.

This is an old Matchbox Adventure 2000 vehicle, inspired by Zaheer's great thread on the workbench.

And last but not least a runabout, also a converted Matchbox wagon.

Those vehicles are amazing. I love the motorcycle on the back -- I'll have to steal that.

A couple more WIPs. Sometimes I get stuck in 'make' not 'paint' mode.

These are a few random scatterables - generators, fuel tanks etc.

And many thanks to Sangennaru for the tip on using solder for cables - so much better.

There is some amazing stuff here.  That repurposed train car is a perfect generator and the yellow salvage truck is a real treat.
