1920's archaeologist's tent?

Anyone know of a nice model (the kind with the flap extended from the front to sit in shadow under with one's maps/whisky/cognac/tarots....), please?

I've experimented with doing my own, but I'm not quite satisfied with the result...

1.- No. I don't know of any such model. I doubt if anything like this exist.

2.- Why not to try to make a tent similar to the one used for market stalls and use it as a separate model.

To my experience from actual life this kind of study relax is only after dark and you cannot work at site.

My partner and I are making lots of tents for Pulp gaming. I'm not sure what design you mean... is it a lean-to? If you could find a ref picture it might help

A safari-tent might just do it... I think that the archaeologists would spend much time in the shadow, drawing sketches and recording the finds, letting the native diggers sweat in the sun

I was lucky enough to have some left over bandage from a first aid kit and I went to town with that, some cardboard and pva.

Still finishing them off. I'm looking forward to see what you've come up with!

I reckon you can do that Argonor, cerial packets would be thin enough yet sturdy to hold the structure together, tooth picks or cocktail sticks for the poles.

I'm still using the GW paper tents I downloaded and printed out for my pulp tents.  They arn't based on anything that I know of but oddly enough they fit in well for many periods.  I've used them in several pulp games.

WOOT WOOT! IW has got a new avatar up. WIth the addition of the handgun do we take that as your having trouble getting back or keeping the garage door?  :-)

Seen them thar tents up on the GW site some time back. With the shoddy way they have redesigned and taken down everything not sure if that pattern is still up.

Also wanted to say thank ya for the Tanks and Trolls link on your blog. Those guys are just plain nuts with some SERIOUS scratchbuilding skills in tow. :-)

Nope we still have no garrage door but it was gone before we moved in.  This photo was taken for a photography assignment.  We were suppose to use many and unusual props.  It's just a 1851 Colt knock off by Itallarie.  It does work though. 

As far as the tents go you might be able to find them on the GW UK site.  I know they took them off the U.S. site.  Seems like the last time I had to track them down they were still on the UK site.
