Wemminghay - Looking for a suitable miniature
« on: 12 June 2015, 08:23:36 PM »
Having just recieved my copy of Pulp Alley with which I intended to play some 40k Inquisitor-skirmish games, I got instantly derailed and started thinking up some proper pulp crews.

Now, since I've written a huge paper on Hemmingway, I immediately realized that having a table-top representation of the guy to star as the hero of one of my crews would be pretty neat. Thus was born the esteemed Ned Wemminghay, hunter of some repute and all around braggard. Only - I still need a proper miniature to represent him.

Being brand new to proper pulp, I don't quite have a grasp on the various miniature ranges, and thought I'd turn to you guys and ask if you had any ideas for a suitable miniature to use?
I am certain that I've seen something suitable, I just can't remember where.

For reference, this is the guy:

Cheers!

The Artizan one looks pretty suitable, only a little too slim (And he'd need a beard) - Ill note that one down. Thanks :)

Pulp Gigures - top middle needs a beard

Again top middle needs a beard

If you want a figure for a Pulp game, I think the SCW era Hemingway (Artizan's) wouldbe your best bet.

Yeah, I am thinking that too. I might base the league on the Novel 'A Farewell to Arms', siding him with a pair of Italian soldiers and a fancy dame. I could even sneak a small army-car in there.
I think I prefer that sculpting as well, though the Pulp Figures ones do have the benefit of having the iconic hunting rifle.

This guy (top middle):

with a beard sculpted on would be pretty iconic as well.
