I finally got around to painting a boring/drilling/tunneling machine I made a few years ago, an ongoing effort to finish off all the projects I'd started a long time ago, and left to gather dust.

Here it is unpainted - body based on After Eights packaging (wrapped with ribbed styrene), nose cone is from an piping/icing bag, various zip ties and milk seals for textures. I experimented with ground up used tea leaves to make the soil, and am pleased with how it looks.

BRILLIANT! That looks awesome, and the soil remaining on the device is just right for the "freshly broken surface" setting you have gone for.
