Climbing questions

Played our first game last night and it was a lot of fun. A few comedy moments, including a wandering ghoul being 'Leap'-ed to the top of a tower to fight my wizard (which we now realise wasn't a legal target, but it was interesting!)

The main issues arouse around climbing:

• Can a model carry out actions when in a climb? Eg. shooting, spell casting even fighting. We ruled no, as it seemed dumb, but didn't see anything in the rules against it
• Would wandering monsters climb to get to their nearest line-of-sight target?
• Could a model which is say just 1/2" up a climb be attacked in close combat from a model on the ground? Could they win the combat with point 1 in mind?
