OK, thanks!

No probs.... :)

They look great all together a fantastic diorama feel.you can just picture a wave of French men at arms foundering under a storm of English arrows.I enjoyed watching these come together and the end result is brilliant

I've got all the French in the painting 'pile'- most are undercoated and ready to go..... I've got to finish the English first! Oh, and there's the small matter of painting all the mini's up for the Lance and Longbow Society display game at Salute too!!  o_o o_o o_o o_o o_o

I completed another two bases which I'll take a couple of blue background pics of first before taking more snaps of what's been put together thus far at the club on Thursday with the terrain and buildings. It just looks better that way! :)

And two more bases are added...

I'm not at the club tonight owing to the fact that I still think I'm a teenager and I'm going to see MDC (a Hardcore band- that probably still makes no sense to you all) and will consequently miss the opportunity to take any pics with the terrain and scenery which would have looked better.

You'll have to make do with the blue background for now :)

Cheers,
Darrell.

The latest offerings look wonderful.
This is going to be a gorgeous looking army when you have finished.

Thanks- very kind of you to say so  :)

I've got a boatload of archer conversions, mainly variations on the Free Salute Mini earlier this year with a few other conversions thrown in for good luck- they're half painted as I'm going to be sticking to two projects (honest guv!); Verneuil and Hastings (for Salute next year) until, well, Salute:- if you're interested you can see the conversions here:

Gives an idea of what I have in mind for the next bases:

Next up on the painting table after I've finished the first Saxon base for Hastings:

What a treat.  Each of those bases is a lovely little vignette.

It's actually funny (and nice) to see, how paint makes those minis look a little bit 'stockier' than when seen in the bare plastic.  :)

Thanks again for the complementary words guys  8).

What a treat.  Each of those bases is a lovely little vignette.

Thanks, i've always based my mini's like this- i think from my second WAB army (I had a few) onwards. It would be especially wasteful with the expressiveness that the Perries get into their ranges not to base them as wee vignettes IMHO.

It's actually funny (and nice) to see, how paint makes those minis look a little bit 'stockier' than when seen in the bare plastic.  :)

There are only two plastic mini's on these bases. The rest are metal so that probably explains the slim looking plastics and the stockier metals. I think a lick of paint always n#makes a big difference to the size ratio of miniatures as bit takes the eye away from the obvious at times.

Thanks guys  8).

The project is on hold temporarily whilst i throw myself into the Hasting to do.

There's also also the small matter on moving house!

I do have a couple more bases done so I'll try to take some pics of them today as I'm shooting some of the Ceorls that i've got done for the back rankers of part of a unit for Hastings.

I'll pot both sets of pics up when I've got them taken and edited.

Thanks Puolppy :)

I cannot take the credit for the scenery and terrain as it belongs to our club. I'm temporarily in transit in terms of living space so it made sense to take the pics at the club.

I do now have a very large studio but alas, it is empty of paints at present (pic below:)

The room is about as wide as it is long! :)
