Really surprised that these minis are so anticipated. Never thought the War of 1864 as it is know in Denmark was of any interest to anyone except Danes

Well if you will make a TV show...
So many projects..... so little time.......

The sculptor is Nick Collier.

The freebie figure offer has closed, sorry. I had a bunch of castings spare whilst getting the figures ready for production, and they are all gone now. I'm waiting for the production moulds to be made, should be done Monday.

Nick

I am also surprised, happily about the anticipation. I am a ex-Schleswiger myself. But I am going to mix them in w/ my Eureka and Waterloo to mons danes and My Perry Danish guards and Battlehonours dragoons. The motlier the better. I think that miniseries helped a lot and Malcolm painting up his figures and coming out w/ flags.

Right,my free sample arrived today, thanks Nick, lovely mini in an on guard pose, smashing detail.
Size wise, half a head shorter than the Nortstar Prussians and a full head shorter than the Austrians, more in line size wise and heft with Empress and Perries,in my opinion.
What does everyone else think ?

Hmm...sounds like the Foundry Prussians would be the best match?

Fantasic news, slow to react to this one, been abit poorly, but hey, a very interesting period and plenty of battles to recreate on the tabletop, also its one very colourful war, on par with Napoleonics this one.
The Victorian Outpost

Its a new gaming place in Grimsby with new terrain and new scenery, lots of respect for all wargamers and is the best place to game in town.

Anybody who wishes to visit the venue to arrange a game then  just pm me and lets roll those dice.

My sample arrived today.....Standing firing, good detail, bad mold lines (suspect this was from the pre-production mold. Height wise Perry-esque.

Humph, no postie for me yet...guess it will have to wait.

Thanks for the pic though - looks like a decent figure and of a common size with other manufacturers

Mine too. i would say he's a little more chunky than the Perry stuff but height wise they are a match.

Gonna get the critter cleaned up and undercoated today ready for a paint job tomorrow.

Currently PVA'ed to a cork and waiting for the thick superglue to dry. Then a basecoat etc.....

I'll hopefully get started tonight, if not it will be tomorrow.
