Why do all modern movies about medieval (inspired) stories have to be "edgy", "gritty" or "re-imagined"?
The very words get my teeth on edge when I read them in an announcement or synopsis. Just for once I'd like to see a decently and respectfully researched movie with proper costumes, props and armour. Show people just how grand the middle ages could look. I'm getting a bit tired of the "dung ages" and "Vegas 1283" portrayals of history.
(Never mind me, crappy day at work so I have a case of the acute grumps... Point still stands though.)
