I've loved these models for a long time so when the guys at the local club started to look into it, it didn't take much for me to spend some cash on them.

Thanks guys, they really are lovely miniatures, had to pull out all the stops when painting these so they take ages unfortunately .

Skin tone variation is half on purpose, half because i'm just mixing it up as I go .

Yeah, I find that the more I like a model, the longer it seems to take to paint! 

And as for the skin tones - well, I really do prefer the variation. Even if a group of models are all the same ethnicity, some variation in skintones still seems more "natural" to me than all having the exact same colour like they're clones or something!

Exactly! They look very Brazilian, which fits these minis quite perfectly.
