I was after some crates for this project, but after looking around at the commercial options I decided I was to cheap to fork out the cash they go for, so I'd have to build my own. Here they are: balsa wood and cardboard. A bit slow and fiddly, but gloriously cheap!

There's a couple of WIP shots over at the blog if you're interested: http://preacherbyday.blogspot.com/2016/02/scratch-built-sci-fi-crates.html

I wanted a little droid for a scenario. I didn't have any suitable figures, so ransacked the bits box. I'd seen a few people use a head from the Sicarian infiltrators to good effect. I started with that and added legs.

A bit of fun! He's sure to pop up in quite a few places.

Somehow, someway I must steal this idea and add him to my droid/robot collection. I simply must, I say.

Something a little different this time - a bit of a sci fi dungeon crawl. Our heroes, tracked down and captured by chaos cultists, wake to find themselves locked in an empty room. What's on the other side of the door?

Brilliant report. Great game!

Pulp Alley can be quite challenging in the "why won't you just die!" Department. My group has stopped playing leaders and only run a small band lead by a sidecick to even out the ability to wound. ;)

Cheers
Matt

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

@ Matt. Yes, and these guys were just Allies, but they simply refused to die. Interesting move dropping out the Leaders.

Bill.

Another game. Not part of the campaign this time. My son was keen to play something with the sci fi stuff...

The scribe shivered. He did not want to be here. Who could say what unquiet spirits lurked in this place of the ancient dead? And yet one could not refuse the summons of an Inquisitor. And this was no ordinary Inquisitor. This was Odo Lucipater: fervent, fearsome, fanatical. Throughout the sub-sector, the scourge of anything that smelled even vaguely of chaos.

Odo Lucipater had summoned him here. A terse description of one Tome of Regilus, a volume of ancient power. Scripts and sigils that he had studied. And so, pried from the comforts of desk and tome, he came.

As he walked towards the graveyard, he had the distinct feeling that he was not the only one arriving...

Will Inquisitor Lucipater recover the tome?

Will the judge heroically stem the tide of chaos vermin?

Will the assassin assassinate the other assassin, or vice versa?

Will the recordist uncover the ancient secrets of hair regrowth?

For answers to these questions and more, tune in to http://preacherbyday.blogspot.com/2016/02/the-tome-among-tombs-pulp-alley-game.html
