Long Carabine F&IW
« on: 06 October 2015, 03:56:24 PM »
Played a absolute corker of a game of Long Carabine by the Lardies and thought you might like to see some shots from in game.

Here's a shot of the table

Some Huron warriors with French officers

Pennsylvanian Provincials

Some Rangers

Very nice on all accounts. Great figure painting and the terrain works really well. ;D

How do you find the SP F&IW variant? (I'm a longtime fan of SP, but have really enjoyed playing Muskets and Tomahawks for this period)

I really like M&T but having most troops moving at only four and six inches, and that's without terrain penalties, and only getting to do one thing each time is a pain. It can take most of the game time advancing across the board to get into contact. SP F&IW variant is so much more fluid and in my view makes the game much more lively.

Many Thanks

The supplementary rules are in TFL's 2011 summer special.

Lovely set up and well painted figures. I recognise some as Galloping Major but who did the rest?

Thanks Mate. They're a mix of Galloping Major, Conquest Mini's, Northstar and Redoubt.

Many Thanks to everyone else for the kind comments ;)
