More Fallout Miniatures
« on: 26 November 2015, 08:22:44 AM »
Hello All;

I've just been play Fallout 4 and it is amazing inspiration. As such I realise we need more Fallout models and there is only one man for the job...Brother Vinni

As such I have been applying pressure by asking him to do the following

T51b power armor
T60 power armor
More variations on T45d and Enclave Power armour

Please can you all join me in this by contacting him on

http://www.brother-vinni.com/contacts.htm

If he realises enough of us want it then he'll probably do some more stuff. Come on guys... You know you want it!!

The variations of the Existing Powerarmour Miniatures are the job of each one for its own imo. They are from Resin.... In the past days We all have sawed Metalminis in Pieces to reajust positions. Here its done with a X-Acto Knife.

If you want a T60 (I want one on my own) The existing Miniatures are fitting well too. Mainparts to Change are the Shoulderarmours. Quickly done with Greenstuff.
If you want a Really look alike T60 Armour go on Thingiverse and look for it. Theres a 3D file for the Inner Suit and the Armour itself. Rescale it on 34mm to have a bulkier look and let it print on Shapeways in Frosted High detail Resin.

I like both of these idea's.

Did Vinni not do all those models as commission pieces? He's not been doing Fallout miniatures recently, presumably due to having moved to Europe and copyright concerns. His recent ones aren't the direct copies that his earlier ones are, so I doubt he'll be making exact knock-offs any more.

As Deltadog said, the raw mesh files are available from the game now. You can hook them up with a local 3D printer and have those produced, though I personally can't speak for what the results would be like.

...Personally I'm more up for just sculpting this sort of thing myself. Pity then that I have no idea how to cast anything. :/

My mate was actually the one who commissioned the enclave armours originally as a present for me.

He spoke to vinni again recently and was told he would consider doing T51b with gauss rifles if there was sufficient demand!! So it's all in play!!

So get on thise keyboards and message the man!

Vinni promised alternative arms and weapons for the existing Power Armour not long after they first were released. Unfortunately that never happened. Shame. I think some other arms (and legs) would be the solution for the existing models.

Start a poll here and link vinni to it? Might be more accessible than people spamming his Facebook page/ email. Though he may not pay it much heed in that case (people who go out of their way to contact him may be a better indicator of end users than just a one click job).

A good suggestion but I don't think it will work by itself. A poll is by its nature a singular thing that is easy to overlook or ignore. In comparison a flurry of imploring emails is much more impactive and liable to garner a positive response. As such I think there is arguably more mileage in a series of individual communications is our best bet!

I mean, would it not be easier to just get together and commission a few figures? There's clearly a fair few people interested...

Maybe the Ratnik guys would be interested? They are in Russia, do STALKER types already and have a relationship with Lead Adventure.

Yeas that's very helpful.

If I was anyway a good sculptor or had access to 3D printing then I would do this; however neither apply so I can't.

This is why I want brother Vinni, who has a proven track record to doing it.

It's the same reason that when I want a new car I don't do a degree in engineering and hand sculpt a Jaguar!

I have a suit of Enclave Hellfire Armour sitting there sculpted, just a pity I have no idea about resin casting. :(

So I'm guessing there's not much taste for this then?
