Imperial Dwarf Unit...Complete (almost)
« on: November 30, 2015, 03:02:58 PM »
Hi all,

I managed to finish up the dwarf unit I've been working on which is a mix of classic Citadel Imperial Dwarfs and the new Bood-Wargames dwarfs.  They fit perfectly together and make a very nice looking unit.

Great work! Love the detailed faces. And they do work together well as a unit - common color scheme, the works! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys!

I realize that I forgot to explain the "almost" comment....

While working on these I managed to bend the banner pole a couple of time and it is now about to break off...so I will probably have to replace it with Brass rod.  I wanted to capture pictures of it as is so people have an idea of what the stock Bood figure looks like before I mod it.  I love the eagle topper so I will certainly keep that on the new pole.

Cheers,

Blue

Fabulous! :-*

I wonder of John will ever forgive me for starting the trend that made him the dwarf guy. Mine, Clam's Ewal Dvergar, 4A minis, iron mask miniatures and now these.. ::)

VERY WELL DONE, Blue! Beyond FINE brushwork & basing, you capture the character of each mini perfectly.

Lovely figures, the old and new ones seem to match seamlessly. And your paint job is just excellent!

They're fabulous. It's really hard to tell the two manufacturers apart. I always figured old Citadel figures would be primitive looking. You've proved me wrong!

Lovely work there, and the colours are just wonderful - bright, but not too bright.  :)
