Hi from Quebec :)
« on: 30 November 2008, 07:02:42 PM »
Hello all, my name is Sam, I'm 14 years old, I've been lurking for about a year now!
I really like the stuff I see on this forum, nicely painted miniatures, nice terrain, nice people, nice battle reports...whats not to love?

I dont really play any games yet since..I dont know anyone that really plays around here!

Welcome aboard! You’re sure to find a lot of inspiration here.

Wish you luck to find a opponent in your region. Wargaming isn’t a really well know hobby in Québec :?.

That being said, there is a few rules systems that are said to work well for solo gaming (.45 Adventure for example).

If you need advices on something feel free to ask thru the different boards. There’s a lot of friendly people here. 8)

I started buying and painting Airfix napoleonics at about that age  :)

Welcome!

If you like zombie-games, try Dead walk Again - a free set of rules that is very well suited for solo play!

As for finding fellow gamers (or creating some) try showing pics and battle reports to friends and school-mates - you never know what might happen  ;) - and try finding a games store within reasonable transport time and put up a notice there; gamers are often willing to travel quite a distance for some good gaming.

Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Hello, it's always a pleasure to see more fellow Canadians about :). And I feel for you, there's been so few fellow gamers on my end as well. Though there is a few, but they don't wanna tread any distance from 40k or historicals. My best bet would be Breton and Uncle Mike in Calgary, but I've not a vehicle nor a proper means of transporting miniatures.

This will most likely be the best miniatures related forum you will ever go to. And it may cause you to become interested in other miniatures genres you weren't before. I know I have :D.
