I'm not sure if ruins are on their 'to do' list, but it can't harm to pester, er ask in the comments.  In any case, a few complete buildings, maybe just with scratch built ruined roofs, should look great.  And for those without a 3D printer, there are several gnomes out there who provide a 3D printing service

Looks good. But how expensive is 3D Printing? I have no idea. And is the quality of printed terrain already comparable to other terrain?

I don't (yet) have a 3D printer myself, but have been looking into the costs for when I get one.
The Fat Dragon dungeon terrain stuff works out at just under a dollar to print a 2x2 section of dungeon flooring including a 2x2 wall along one side.
The 3D village stuff is much larger, so will cost more, but I suspect it will be considerably less than the equivalent resin pieces, and the latest stretch goal unlocks detailed interiors if you want them.
Third party 3D printing is of course more expensive, i am looking at local providers at the moment to see about getting some stuff done.  i will report back when I have something.
Of course, it would be cheaper still to scratch build them, but not everyone has the time.

I have seen Fat Dragon stuff printed by an aquaintance that certainly passed muster.
Not sure what quality you are expecting, but I certainly didn't think it was "cr*p".

Thanks for your help with this, that sort of feedback is always welcome.

I had seen the test walls, and wondered how good they might be.  Pics on their blog suggest perfectly acceptable for gaming purposes, but it would be nice to see an independent viewpoint.

Nice castle by the way, how long would it take to print at 28mm? certainly something I would like to try.

Not having any 3D experience and looking at the KS, for what you get, I figured it was over priced.

Reading this thread, I am convinced it is over priced.

Instead of converting weight to length, generally a regular spool is 1kg of filament. And fortunately the 500g spools are typically exactly half the price And yes, 3D printing a whole table of scenery would end up costing a ton. 3D printed things are generally going to be more expensive just because of time to print and material costs. Hopefully that changes in the future.
