That snail and the wheels look great! I'm rather envious.

Perhaps using it to create shapes/parts is the way to go, rather than large surfaces which are "easy" to scratchbuild. The brass rod axel sounds like a secure idea Beefcake! :)

Cheers
Matt

Cheers

I'm pretty rubbish at scratch building so this is a nice alternative but it is great for making those itty bitty pieces that require a lot of precision. :)

Rock on dude! I'm really impressed with your work and your ability to chase your dreams like a cheetah on the seringetti running down antelope. Really really impressed.

Thanks mate :)

Here is the latest update of the completed piece. I had to chop it into smaller pieces as my print space wasn't big enough for some pieces. I had some things go wrong with some prints but sorted most of the problems. The roof had a bad line break through it where you can see GS.

Here is the wagon with a mini for scale. A pity the wagon handle bits (I forget the name) weren't larger. I'm not going to redo it for this one though. I filled gaps with greenstuff.
Here it is with the snail and a more sinister look with the spider. I'll make some small parts to attach on (a spare wheel has been made already and a GS bag of apples) . Maybe a sign for a wandering tradesman or something like that.

What initially made me want to sculpt this wagon was to have an alternative to the Baba Yaga chicken legged hut and have it pulled by a massive chicken. I may just see if I can get a cheap $2 shop one and repaint it rather than try to sculpt one myself. That would be quite a challenge.

Thanks for looking and feedback given :)

Not too bad quality. The top two sections are at 200microns and you can definitely see the print lines. The others were 100 microns but the length of time it took to print them was getting me impatient. It can go to 50 microns which is okay for smaller minis. I wouldn't want to print an army from it though.  lol I saw a really cheap printer on kickstarter TIKO or so,etching like that. Around $179 US. They aren't taking any more orders though but if they can produce the goods I'd be tempted to by myself a second printer for that price.
Here the kickstarter page.

Made some quick urns and barrels. They look good for a terrain piece and have also made a wagon top for carting goods around that sits on the chassis I made, no pics at the moment but it looks pretty good. Need to sculpt more wheels though.

You need a bigger snail!  Very nice print.

Here is a cart loaded with barrels and bits. Finally painted something, if poorly. Might give the barrels a wash of sepia. Oh yeah and muddy up the wheels some too.

Some very good results - I'm rather impressed!

Seeing those barrels has also given me an idea... Why not print them side-ways so that the print-lines simulate the woodgrain?

It's a good idea but I doubt it would work as the bottom section would need some serious sanding down afterwards as even with supports sometimes the plastic droops, unless I cut them in half and printed two halves and then stuck them together.

Thanks for the comments.

I've started to make print some modular walls for myself. I'll see how they turn out. I'm wanting to make a tavern. I've also recently designed and printed a bookcase which looks quite good. I made a much larger one than 28mm scale for my daughters dolls house as well. :)

Cheers mate. It's fun to do and stops me spending more cash on minis that I probably won't paint, lol

Something else I've been plugging away at in Sketchup. I added some colour and a floor to it to make it look a bit nicer.
I'll probably make some sort of armour for the legs as well but that will probably be separate. All the legs, and arms are separate so I can print them easily and I'll chop the body up on Netfabb
