Project z. Warlord games zombie game.
« on: January 29, 2016, 12:27:19 PM »
Well, at least we found out where the wargames factory plastic survivors have gone.

 http://www.warlordgames.com/announcement-project-z-zombie-skirmish-game/

Know not many people will be after another zombie game, but the bikers and spec ops may be of interest.

Yeah I just saw this as well, i'm actually really looking forward to the new models.

As far as I am aware, these are the first pics (although only a couple) of the bikers and military guys beyond a couple of sprue shots? Is that right or can someone point me in the direction of further info?

Cheers
Pete

Those are the first pictures of assembled and painted figures. I hope to see more when I visit Warlord next week (I rather like this job!)

Of course, I shall now have to dig up my WG Zombies and start assembling my three boxes of male and female survivors...

Given that Warlord often sells individual sprues, hopefully this means we'll soon be able to stock back up on the survivor weapons sprues without having to buy the whole kit!

Looks like new male zombies in the picture too.

Looking forward to learning more, apprehensive about the price tag...

I have both survivors sets and they are nice, so I'm looking forward to more figures in that series.
I have enough Z games though, so I'll probably skip the rules.

It's funny, when I started stocking the zombie apoc plastics from WF, I immediately started thinking about making a game to tie in with them (just daydreaming), so I see Warlord couldn't resist with the even bigger temptation having them as distributors. I'd love to see more of those bikers. As always when I see projects like this, I always hope there's something to come out of it I can add to the Believable Female Miniatures :D Plastic girl bikers.....yes yes yes

Managed to take exclusive sprue pictures of the Biker Gang last year at Salute. The sprue includes parts to make female riders/ passengers.

More of the sprues here http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=78150.0

Also thinking those are new. Looking way better than the older Wargames Factory ones. Hoping same prices as from Wargames Factory, their historicals are currently sold by Warlord Games at about the same price. So fingers crossed.

In the moment I think warlord is talking about a lot of new things, but nothing is really coming. I think the plastic Landsknechte, the Pike&Shot-stuff from Malta, the new Dr. Who stuff, several books for Hail Cesar, Pike&shot, Black Powder. Cancelled stuff like Bolt Action WW1. So, in the moment it would be better when warlord release the old announced stuff....
And like readmao said these will be only another set of zombierules...

I have to disagree there, I don't know how well the sales go for P&S but it clearly isn't doing a Bolt Action. I see more from Blackpowder and Hail Ceaser then I do for P&S. Dr Who IS coming, just taking them a while. Presumably they want top-notch sculpts or are having licencing difficulties, think of all the hoops Prodos had to jump through to get Fox to give them the ok. As for Bolt Action WW1...eh it wouldn't have done well IMO. WW1 is a difficult one since you either pull a Battlefront Late war (ALL THE TOYS) or you do it accurately but get a very samey kind of feel for a while,

I'm liking the look of a lot of these figures.

My big hope is that they're more flexible than the survivor sprues, where certain arms only fit onto certain bodies. The spec ops look fairly similar in body mass, so fingers crossed. I also hope they have heads that can be made to look up and down, rather than just left and right.

I also want word peace and humanity to develop warp drive within my lifetime, but decent plastic sprues will do for a start  ;D

Very nice commandos. I really like how realistic the weapons look. Other manufacturers often make the barrels too big.

The photo of the other side of the sprue shows the necks as flat bottomed like the survivors. Still it certainly looks worth picking up.
