Having put both "Soviet block" and "NATO" types of weapons is a very nice touch… looks like they’ll be very useful models indeed :D
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

I am down to pick up at least on box.

These are also the old sprue shots apparently. Warlord have asked WGF to rework the sprue to have more bodies and legs per sprue. No shots of the new layout yet that I've seen.

You know, as a huge zombie fanatic I still haven't picked up a tabletop miniature zombiegame (last night on earth doesn't count. It's a pure boardgame)
I just haven't found the right one yet and this might be it.

Apparently, the boxed set is out at Salute and will have a £30 - 35 RRP, with easy play rules and plenty of sprues.

Plus, if traders sign up for a 'Trader Bundle', they get some of the Spec Ops and Bikers earlier than the final boxed sets.

That is a bloody good deal and annihilates Mantics kickstarter.

Not sure why it would annilhate the Mantic and Skybound Kickstarter as it has already been launched and looks to be quite succesful. They won't deliver the goods before the end of the year I think but will already gathered the needed funds well in advance of Salute so pledgers will probably not buy the Warlord game. But £30.00 for the Warlord Games game sounds interesting!  ;D

I am more down with the Warlord version than the Mantic, they dropped the ball really with those horrible minis.

I think I'm much more interested in this game than the Mantic game.  I have far too many minis in this genre already.

I was very tempted by the Mantic Walking Dead Kickstarter, but the news that Warlord was coming out with this new game made me hold off. I'd much rather have multi-part kits to put together!

UPDATE: If you are at Salute and spend £100 at Warlord, you get the boxed game, with 43 zombies, a Survivor and Biker Gang sprue, the rules and the special dice PLUS one set of each figure release there will ever be in your hand on the day, which includes the re-designed ones.

Which is nice...

New sprue shots on the WI site soon!

It does look a bit tempting. My only and very major worry is that it is wargames factory. I have previously spend money on their zombies, vikings and skeletons. And after that decided that they have had enough of my money and I have most certainly had enough of the plastic blobs they call miniatures.

Dr Zombie, I don't have any of the old male zombies but do have some of the new survivors which I quite like. The impression I get from various people is that their miniatures have improved massively since then.

Thanks for the update Grimjack. Looking forward to seeing the new pics.

Wargame Factory's male zombies are small and pretty awful looking. Their work has improved enormously - the female zombies set they released don't even look like they were made by the same company as the males. (I dearly wish they'll take this opportunity to remake the men.)

I'm in "wait and see" mode on this, though the bikers are tempting.

Dang, I hope they offer those of us without a chance to go to Salute a similar deal.  I know the same deal is too much to expect but I would like to see what they could come up with.
