Okay guys... I really like the minis, but no very little about the mutiny. I already have many projects, so why should I start an Indian Mutiny project? What makes it different to other colonial conflicts? Why are you guys during this project?

If you haven't already then I recommend a visit to the Duke's own website -

http://www.irondukeminiatures.co.uk

There's a lot of info and flavour on there, including the developers thoughts on which point in the Mutiny they decided to start the range.

What Keith said.

Mike Snook outlines the campaigns during the Indian Mutiny which the range is specifically designed for.

Colorful characters on both sides. Everything from parade ground uniforms to dirty uniforms worn for a year. Skirmish level up to field battle sized actions. City fighting and sieges. Elephants. The question for me is what's not to like?
