(Commercial) The Sad Demise of 'Iron Duke Miniatures'
« on: July 03, 2024, 07:39:00 PM »
It is with heavy heart that we must announce the news, but Mike Snook is stepping away from the toy soldier industry due to rising metal costs, so his excellent 'Iron Duke Miniatures' company is disappearing. Weep not though fellow fans of colonial-era mins, because Empress Miniatures are taking the moulds and the current ranges will still be available from them, it's just there will be no more IDM new releases and Mike will no longer be involved.

Man, companies at closing left and right.
Really sad to see all this happening.

Bugger! :(

I have some and was hoping there would be more new releases. Good to hear that Paul is holding onto the reins, maybe he might be persuaded to do some more.

Snook is a retired Colonel, and … his time to make his company was frankly, limited. Let’s be honest: we all get old, sometime. Truly: I am sad to hear of this, but at what point do we all want to do “other things”?

I respect his decision.
