Again this year the In Clouds of Glory design team aka Svend and Thomas is heading for the Hamburger tactica convention in February for two days of absolutely the best of European table top display games... So for those of you attending: Come visit us the 27-28th this month.

Again this year we will bring a bit of gaming materials for sale at around purchase prices... Plane minis, flight stands, adhesive for making turn templates etc.

You really should up them to -:285 scale and then make them available

What I especially remember of that game is that the move-engine seemed very well thought out and quite realistic. What I could do and where I would be after the turn was what I expected, according to my actions during flight.
Also, where the others would likely be according to their actions. Stall, accelerating, overheating engine, choking the prop, etc.
So, as close as one can be while tabletopping, I somewhat felt the wind in my hair.

I also like is this special lucky-shot rule (do not quite remember the name of it), when someone tries to hit you. If he roles a 1 (on a d20?) the target gets a bullit through his scarf and so is a VERY lucky pilot, hence the target (!) gets a lucky point or something. Very useful in campaigns, I recall.

Hope, that still in the rules!

Looking forward to have a real eye shot on that terrain, then.

Some work in progress from today.. Tactica is this month

.. But we will get there..

Positive mock-up on board number 2 in casting sand.

Used the7 hours, 2 persons to cut, fit and mount all the trench sides and a bit of sandbags and make the mock up:

one full board plus a lot of detailing to go..

The boards are cast using building spray foam (the caramel coloured expanding foam used for isolating around windows etc). The cast is made from casting sand normally used for casting stuff in metal. It is a mixture of oil and fine grained sand. It can be molded like clay. We then make a negative model (hills are med as depressions etc) of the board and then close the mold - spraying foam into holes in the closed mold.
