Zombie skin; looking for preferences and tutorials
« on: 11 February 2016, 08:24:58 AM »
What it says on the tin. I want to paint a few for scenarios, and I'm looking for ideas, but I see everything from pale grey to green for zombies. Any pointers?

GREYISH FLESH: The freshly zombified in comparison to the living:

GREENISH FLESH: The not so freshly zombified after a couple of days (beginning to stink):

BROWNISH FLESH: The mummifying zombified after a couple of weeks in dry condition (less stinking, not yet rotten) in comparison to the living:

No tutorial from me, but I recently came across the following colour guide :

Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

That last link was very informative, expecially with the purple/black colouration near the end, and the white with reddish spots all over in a previous stage.

So, grey for fresh, green for older and darker then that with a purple wash for the ones that have been around for a while. Ok, got it.
