Second batch of spiders, now got a full dozen to get that "2d6 mutated spiders" encounter result covered!

Nice!

I actually have a miniatures-spider disorder, which means I collect all that I can of the little buggers. I really love your paint on these.

Thanks! On the paint scheme of the second batch, I painted two of the beasties red to act as "leader spiders", or the "more hefty" variants - as said, I´ve never played Fallout, but was an avid Diablo I fan back in the day, and I seem to recall the "harder" variants of creatures were marked red. Other than that, for some radiation variation.

You've never played fall out?!?!?! Now that one I didn't see coming!

Anyways  - "leader paintjobs" are a good way to single out individuals in a swarm. I've used different back-patterns myself, but your idea is just as good, though makes the enemy even more away of where to target their fire :D

Errr... I´m not quite sure what you wish to say, but these "Spiders of Mirkwood" regularly go for price band D (11,50€ here in Germany), with each pack containing 9 (presumably random) models. I am unsure if they are still in stock, though, I couldn´t find them on the website any more.

Gah, just posted a long post in response to this, but got logged out and lost it! Hohum, let's try and remember...

Something along the lines of 'curses, I'd been planning to do this with the free downloaded FOW rules, but looks like i've been beaten to the punch!'

anyhoo, here's a list of manufacturers that i thought were suitable whilst researching possible minis to use for gaming fallout:

Em-4 (as mentioned earlier, nice scavengers, bikers etc for use as raiders etc)

Mad puppet (a little big perhaps, but nice scavengers - especially the jester   :-* )

Future wars (Copplestone does a nice range of wasteland worthies)

Westwind road kill (some hilbillies and military types)

Hasslefree (they make everything! more specifically, druusch and jotun for use in super mutant conversions)

Ramshackle games (post-apoc weirdness)

Darkson Designs (Rohlingsoldat for use in super mutant conversions)

Warzone/Prince August (tons of stuff - people's conversions from earlier in the thread, though i was planning on using the plastic bauhaus troopers that come in the boxed game as the basis for BoS/outcasts - the armour looks about right, and they come with minigns... plus a whole variety of heavily amoured and cultist types, just a pity that they're mostly a little on the chunky side...)

not a comprehensive list by any means, but hopefully of use to somebody...

They are listed under the sourcebook section. Have had problems finding stuff on the new website, too  ;)

Just a question, slightly off topic(?): Is the Fallout 3 game available for PC or only a console game?

Ah, great, thanks (I could probably have googled my way to that answer, but still)  :)

I'll go checking some local stores - I LOVED Fallout and Fallout 2  :-*

It's a very different game to the earlier Fallout games, Argonor. Just thought you ought to know. Many fans of the originals can't stand it, dubbing it "Oblivion with guns."

Personally, I love it, though it isn't perfect.

Bizarrely, as you level up it seems to bug and crash less, at least on the 360...

Back on the gaming front, I got to thinking yesterday and realised that the Necromunda ruleset would probably work quite well for gaming Fallout, since it's got built in scavenging for survival rules; All you'd really need to do would be convert some weapon stats (counts-as being easiest) fiddle the territories table and away you go...
