Some sort of scanning/targeting device (a neural implant)? I'm quite happy with how it looks in the ... plastic. I think the middle shot with the black background shows it best - three scopes of some kind.

It's what all the blue-furred bounty hunters are sporting this season!

Quite what I had in mind, but was brought up a wee short with 'three', being used binocular thingies. I suppose it could be tracking in RGB.  lol

Really liked, but just an idle question. Next little fellow actually brings up more questions, but only adds to his 'charm'.  Doesn't seem like the right word, does it?  ;)

^Those are slick.  I love the non-green skin --- really works a treat on those guys!

Me too.
It takes me back to my early RT days when I painted my Orks as brown skinned.
I much preferred it (and still do) to green.
I may go this way with my own (when/if/ever/ I get around to them...).

Love them all Hobgoblin - the orcs are nicer for their new skintone, and the ape is fantastic (hmm... I have that Bones mini somewhere...).  Love the gnoll conversion too

I'm loving that Knoll conversion too - I may have to steal that idea in the fullness of time...

Thanks!

Here are a few more: a mandrill-esque ork, one in the style of my cave goblins and an experiment in speed-painting genestealers.

Brilliant additions to the crowd.
 :-* :-*

I do like to see Orcs that are not green.
They fit in so much better into other 'non-GW-worlds' that way.

Here are a couple more: a power-armoured pirate captain and a reptilian enforcer (both painted up with Rogue Stars in mind):

Lovely brushwork, especially on the power armour.

Which mini is this? Or is it a tyranid / lizarman conversion?

I'm not really into old-school (sorry, sorry, don't beat me!), but this thread of yours is shaping up very very nicely. I have to keep an eye on this.
