The Royal Army of Venus 1889

I'm currently working on a science fiction army that's heavily influenced by Napoleonic and early to mid (or even late) Victorian style. I'm using it for 40k as Imperial Guard (because that's what they play around here) but I'm using lots of historic figures as well as steampunk miniatures and the like-whatever takes my fancy really

The images below are some infantry (Perry Austrians+Victrix artillery) and death trumpets (used as flamers) from Meridian miniatures.

Now on to the current big project for this army-a 'knight titan'. In this army I decided to use dinosaurs with armoured howdah's on their backs instead of ordinary tanks (as 'Venus 1889' is a Jumanji like death world with lots of dangerous critters-including giant reptiles that HAPPEN to look like the great reptilian beasts of holy Terra's distant past). Napoleonic/Victorian soldiers riding into battle on dinosaurs makes me smile so it had to be done (or at least attempted).

Never to do things by halves the first vehicle to be attempted will be a large one, counting as an Imperial Knight ( a big battle robot in 40k). A big inspiration for this project comes from many of the amazing scratch builds that I've seen on the forum here.
This is my first real scratch build so fingers crossed it'll go okay. Attached is a very early pic of the basic structure (I've done a lot more since this pic-need to take more photos to show where I'm up to now).

The T-rex is by a company called 'Papo'-I was going to re-paint it, but I may not bother as the paint job on the dino is quite good

Thanks-glad you like what I've done so far I hope the end result comes out well. It seems to be going okay. Some of it's a bit wobbly (my skill at cutting plasticard could stand some improvement), but overall I think it'll be acceptable when it's done
