Mammoth combat for TUSK.
« on: 17 March 2016, 07:36:49 PM »
When a  mammoth is engaged by a hunter in close combat and is not killed,  it roles a reaction dice. If the reaction is close combat with nearest hunter, what (or where) are the mammoths combat-factors, roll results, etc...?
Many thanks....

I think it's a normal combat (ie caveman rolls not to die). I'll check when I'm home again.

If the beast is in combat (and survives), then you roll on the reaction table. If there's no fire <7cm, then you roll on the "Close Combat" column. If you roll an "A" ("Attack") result then the beast moves into combat with someone. If it already is in combat then nothing happens (as it's in comabt ready for next turn).

In the next turn the turn sequence is followed ("Turn Sequence" near the start of the rules). The beast gets to auto-attack someone randomly at step vi) (close combat). The last paragraph of the section "Irrespective of other results, the beast rolls 2d6..." allows it to kills someone.

Make sense?
