OK, I've modified a Sarissa engine for use on my railway.  It's a pannier tank engine rather than a side tank engine, but I think it will get the job done (Hopefully without making the model railroaders cringe).

That is beautifully done and perfectly weathered! I wouldn´t recognize a lasercut MDF model in it. However there´s few on any railroad that is less typical British looking than a Pannier engine...  (I am a railroading nut though...)

I know, which did give me some concern, but being in the USA I thought the odds of someone here spotting that was much less. But if those rabid Thomas the Tank Engine fans find me, I'm a dead man.

Great looking engine.
I would not  be upset if someone does not like it.
My reply is, " Lets see what you painted."
That usually does the trick.
Would also like to say, I love your whole thread.
It had got me thinking about get out some long buried figures in the lead pile.

Well done Chris! The ballast does the trick to make an otherwise boring looking track appear attractive. Good choice of colours too!
