First posting: Northern Crusades

After some considerable time of visiting LAF I finally decided to take the plunge and join.  Warm greetings to all!

I (hopefully...) attach some pictures of a recent project; the Teutonic Order vs Prussian tribes, in the Baltic Crusades (early period).  The figures are mostly GB and Foundry, with some extras from Crusader and Artizan.  I used 'green stuff' to make fur cloaks and hats on some of the tribesmen.  The 'mad pagan priest' figure (in green) is an old Foundry Santa Claus, and I am quite pleased with the bear and handler, (who is shown having just slipped the chain from the bear, freeing it to attack - this small vignette is part of the Chieftains command unit).

I use Lion Rampant rules, but have designed my own army lists based on my reading of small patrol actions and ambushes.  I also use 8 and 4 figure units, rather than 12 and 6, as I prefer the look of those sized units.

That's a great project. Good choice of setting, miniatures and rules rounded up by nice conversions and painting.
