Awesome work. Love the colours and the details and, of course, the weathering.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm really enjoying doing these, albeit very slowly.

Mortar team done!

Gives me a nice rounded strike team now. Not complete by any stretch but potentially very usable (not that I've played Urban War before though).

Pics are probably bigger on my website or facebook (links in my sig).

Decided to dive into trying to figure out what I want to do with my shock marines.

Lazily copy and pasted from Facebook:

Quote
This is one of the earlier shock marine sculpts, the later ones being quite a bit bigger. I was a bit torn between the two types of sculpt. The earlier ones have rather small heads in comparison to the regular colonial marines and the later sculpts are big roided up models and perhaps a tad too big for my tastes. In the end I went with the early version but swapped the head out for one of the later ones. Looks about right to me.

I wanted a slightly different colour scheme to my standard marines so I thought I'd use the same green that I used on my mortar accentuated with dark green here and there. It's a bit bright at the moment but some washes and weathering will mute it down eventually. Bit of an experiment really. If it looks good when finished I can easily plough on and do the other two models I have prepped and waiting.

The blue background  pics looks really professional !  :-* particularly impressed by the saurian rider, everything, every effect on this mounted figure is just perfectly done.

I really like this range of minis, I bought standard marines to use as cyberpunk swat teams, but this project is paused for now.

Thanks again for the comments.  :) Just wish more people were doing UW as there's very little out there beyond the official product shots to ogle at.
