There is a thin line between promoting a new forum and spamming. Mentioning it on every topic, new or old, that mentions the Korean War is way over it and a good way to get all of them deleted.

I am not sure if six mentions is spamming, considering there are many, many more topics on the Korean War that I did not touch.  I was trying to relevant topics and encourage folks to enjoy a dedicated forum for the Korean War.

Which you achieved by commencing this thread.

Multiple posts with the same links to an external site is indeed the definition of 'spamming'.

It also contravenes this Forum's rules on 'cross-posting'; Forum Rules .

Great and indeed welcome to the forum. 

There are a few fans of the Korean War here, myself included, so your efforts will not have been in vain. We are certainly not anti other forums and indeed have no objections to linking to them for the benefit of our members... we just have what we believe are sensible limits that are fair to all.

You are of course also free to add a link to the forum in your profile signature, which means that the forum will get a plug each time you post on a fresh topic.

Other than that topics on the Korean War and anything else between 1945 and 2000 are always welcome here.
