Chinese Tigermen
« on: 07 January 2009, 10:26:59 PM »
My good lady wife was kind enough to get me a good selection of the old Foundry Imperial Chinese minis for chrimbo and I had a chance to start them at the weekend. I was going to save these until last and really go to town on them but due to wanting to use them as tiger cultists (never miss an opportunity for multi use figures) and the fact I am a very impatient painter with the attention span of a gnat I rushed them through. I am very happy with them considering I spent just over seven hours in total but they are a bit rough, especially the shields.

That's a rushed job?  :P I only want to do 2 Indian Tigers & I'm procrastinating over that!  ;)

They are amazing mate!  :-*

I'm very impressed if they are just a few of hours of block painting. I can never get tiger stripes right, so well done for that.

I am guessing they dressed up like that to look scary. To me they look like they are on their way to a kids Haloween party and are about to burst in tears when they see ten other kids came up with the same idea for costume. :)

That is in no way a comment on the paint job which is very good.

You can be dressed in a tutu, but with a three foot razor sharp sword in your hand you're scary lol

Bugsda, I think that I would be even more scared by a guy in a tutu with a three foot razor sharp sword  o_o o_o o_o!!!!!!  Sort of makes me think of that pink "hello kitty" bruiser thats been running through my nightmares after its recent posting here  lol

We have quite a few tigermen, probably more than we need, but the suits are always a bit reminiscent of Peter Pan's lost boys.

I am always in the market for anything Chinese, lost boys or not. Want to sell/swap any?
