Sardoo you need your own personal account to PM on Facebook which is a shame. I will however forward a link of this to them via Facebook and hopeful see if you have any results.

Many thanks for this! Much obliged!

Hi Steven

You last sent me an email on 20 April I asked you for a status update on May 12. Could you please let me know when you will be shipping the items I paid for on your first kickstarter and the follow up items I ordered in Nov of last year, you know 6 months ago?

Thank you for your time.

Very glad we have been able to resolve any problems people have had, we always do our best to fix them when we have been contacted. Unfortunately some messages to slip through the cracks due to the volume of emails and orders we receive - but if you don't hear back from us please don't hesitate to contact us again.

Another big release this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled!

I just ordered something for the first time from Spectre like 2 seconds ago. Whenever I order something from a miniatures company I make a small order to see what the service is like before I commit to a larger purchase.

Now I was very surprised that when I order miniatures that are priced €3,- each come up on the invoice for 2,99 pound. I only noticed this when I looked at the invoice sent to me by email AFTER I paid.

Not sure how this works or if I have missed something but when I order something for 3 Euro's I don't expect to pay very nearly 3 Pounds.

So the price came out a bit higher then expected. I pay with paypall so just go CLICK>CLICK>CLICK and should probably paid more attention.

Is the € on the site a typo? is tax added somewhere later? something else?

Lovely models but a bit pricey I think. let's see how shipping goes and how the miniatures look when I receive them.

They list the prices in your local currency with a conversion, but then charge/bill in pounds

I thought Paypal would automatically convert your price to the host nation currency. At least it does that when I order items from the UK or Europe Very strange.

Well it's not about paypal at all. I doo a lot with paypal and it works great for me. let me show you what I mean.

This is an african warlord in the spectre webshop:

(Awesome model btw) You can see it's clearly priced as €3,-

This is how it came up in my order confirmation mail:

Now this same model is priced 2,99 pounds....

How does that work? is it tax or what?

Paypal handles a conversion rate of 1=0,74 so with my short grasp of math shouldn't the models be priced 2,22 pounds each?

Now like I said I only placed a small order to test the company before i commit to a bigger purchase. I always do this with miniature companies after a few dissapointing purchases. If I would have made a bigger order it would have upset me.

Maybe the rules for webshops are different in our countries. I'm used to see the exact price I need to pay for something and only shipping is added.

When the Warlord figure for example is shown on the site in £, it is marked as £2.99, which you presume would be the correct price as Spectre are a UK company. The problem seems to be when the site converts to display in €. It should display €3,89 (at this morning's rates at least, the average for 2016 would be more like €4,00) and not €2,99.

Essentially then you are not being charged extra, but the right price as a straight conversion from £ to €. However the site is displaying the wrong price in € in the first place. Site software is the problem I think. The £4.99 packs come out as €6 (instead of €6.49), which actually converts to £4.61.

So your total of £15.96 should convert to €20.75 (at today's rate), but by just reading off the site's € display works out to €18. Currency fluctuations aside, it's under-displaying the € price by about €0,50 for two-figure packs and by €0,90 for the single figures.... average €0,45 (£0.35) on the order per figure.

So in short you've been billed correctly all things being equal, but have been led to believe by the € display that you should have been charged €2.75 less.

 :)

Yes, it looks like a problem with the way the currency conversion is showing. I'll contact the plugin makers and enquire why it is not displaying properly.

This might help

Looks like some Shopify themes can't handle their 'standard' currency converter.
