Undead vs Goblinoids for Song of Blades and Heroes
« on: January 09, 2009, 10:08:59 PM »
I'm hoping to play a few solo games of SBH tomorrow to learn the basics of the rules. Here's the two warbands I put together from some of my D&D figures, no magic or ranged so should be a slugfest I imagine!

Comments welcome!

Undead

Vampire Lord
Zombie Lord
Ghost
Zombies x12

Cool stuff! Where did those crazy big head bugbears come from? I like them.

Hi super_gibbon here's a better picture of those bugbears.

On the left is a bugbear from Essex miniatures in the U.K. from their old fantasy range. They made three different bugbear figures, this is the only one I have. ( one of my favorite figures actually, pure 1st ed ad&d!)

The middle one is from Citadel's ad&d Monsters boxset from the 80's.

On the right is a Bugbear for Grenadier from the early 80's. It's a pretty crude sculpt and difficult to paint in areas but that "crazy big head" makes up for it  ;)

I agree, they are cool bugbears. The troll is also a classic.

It's cool how your consistant paint job makes them look like they all belong together, and yet, they are vastly different.  Great stuff, I wish I had the patience to paint that kind of detail.
