I just started mine got the nude guy almost done the half Zombie is just about there George is started (and I stole the basing idea with the clapboard and film reel)  the figures are on the small size so they go well with Hasslefree and Zombiesmiths. I will get a bunch of different ones together and post a size comparison in the next few days if wanted.

Nice,

Although rotting zombie 'junk' will be an interesting colour choice I'm sure!  :o ;)

Scale wise, I think they sit a little larger than HF, about the same as Cold War, smaller than Griffin, (who are at the heroic scale) and on a par with the old spyglass zeds, (ish).

Lovely sunny day (unexpected) today so painting may be called off due to good weather! ;)

Zombie color choice is always interesting. My nude guy who I call Heff is shambling down the street after being bitten by one of his bunnies and not his slippers (poor guys Viagra is not working at the moment. Now he has been dead, dead for a while so I am painting him rather pale. The half guy, teen girl and George are more recent and thus I am using more flesh tones. BTW does anyone know what the teen girl zombie has on her left hand looks like brass knuckles? I am not really into the green tones for Zombies but what else would you suggest?  Thanks for any imput.

As much as you have a go at people that dare to criticise Wargames Factory for producing figures that look like they've been left on the radiator for too long, you seem to have a fixation with attacking HF.....

I mentioned 4 different companies and you focus on Hasslefree. Are you their sockpuppet or is it you just know they are stealing others IP and you are happy to participate in it?

Neither - its just that everyone else on this thread i trying to discuss Zombie miniatures, and then you derail it.

I mentioned Hasslefree because most of your digs are aimed in their direction, and its clear from previous threads that you've attempted to derail (i'm thinking of the one where someone asked which small companies they should support) that you have some sort of issue with them.

DO you even own any zombies miniatures?  WHY are you even posting on this thread?

Your use of language, such as "thieving scum" is bang out of order, and inappropriate for LAF.

You have a problem with people that post on Frothers as well - another previous thread where you accused Frothers in general of lying - could this be because you used to post on Frothers, using the name of Ernest Errol Quinch, but threw your toys out of the pram when people weren't impressed by your "film" credentials.

You have a problem with people criticising Wargames Factory figures for their soft detail, yet take every opportunity to slate other companies.  Most of the people, myself included, that posted critical comments on the WF figures, would like them to be successful, and produce some decent zeds that we'd be happy to buy - can you say the same thing about your comments about other companies?

People on here want to discuss miniatures, not listen to bile from somebody with an axe to grind.

Back on topic - i've based the minis up, but probably won't have time to get them painted up before Salute - the castings are very crisp, and deserve to have a bit of time spent upon them, to bring out the detail that is evident in the sculpts.

I wouldn't rush em mate, you need some character zeds after all.

Bandit: take a look at my previous posts list, I've got some zombie skin combos posted. My main stay is a basic skin followed by purpley/green/red/black washes, (different mixtures for different figs of course. ;)

If you can't find it let me know and I'll PM you some ideas

Guys, guys, tone it down a bit with the name-calling, yes? We are not TMP in either way. ;) I´m not a moderator for this sub-board, but I´d like to ask you to discuss it in a more polite manner (and yes, I fully respect both sides´ views).

Read this.
I am a moderator, this is a civil forum. It will stay that way.

Why are you continuing to hijack this thread when it is obvious that folks just don't want to hear you prattle on?

If you feel so strongly about this subject, start you're own thread for Christ sake.

People don't want to hear my drivel, yet I still continue, moderators I am a loose cannon, please monitor my posts, I have no wish other than to continually upset the applecart, infact it would be better for all if you closed my account down

Bit sick of you to be honest. Leave the damn thread alone, you've been told to start your own discussion re: IP issues if you feel the need to do so. You seem to have no regard for the moderators or other members here. You aren't really selling yourself the the wider community either.

Get the hint and leave this thread be.

Right then:

Got George primed and a few others, didn't put paint to mini though, (lazy tyke) and won't be able to till the weekend at least, (shame).

Did dismantle a 1/50 corgi panzer ready for repaint...but that doesn't count does it. ;)

If you make a comic book of the dawn of the dead remake you would pay for the IP rights. If you made a computer game of dawn of the dead you would pay for the ip rights (unless you are the company that got sued for doing just that.) If you made model kits featuring the converted mall buses you would pay for the IP rights. Why are miniatures companies imune for paying for IP?

but they haven't... as I said, what we have here is a fat lady zombie... not Ermes Blarasin in a fat lady prosthetic suit... there is a distinction which you refuse to accept...

there used to be a comedy show on sunday mornings for that hungover from saturday crowd hosted by Lee and Herring (chap behind the Jerry Springer opera), on that one of the regular characters was an Alien chestburster... completely outside of any IP rights on account of the fact that it may have looked like a chestburster, but it wasn't a 100% copy of one... so to repeat, this is a fat lady zombie and not Ermes Blarasin in a fat lady prosthetic suit... it may look like Ermes Blarasin in a fat lady prosthetic suit to you, it is no doubt inspired by Ermes Blarasin in a fat lady prosthetic suit but it isn't actually Ermes Blarasin in a fat lady prosthetic suit and so doesn't infringe on IP... the only times differences haven't been arguable have been unfortunately with Eureka's Stargate and original Planet of the Apes range...
