I've based an Eureka Miniatures Dutch WAS 6pdr on a 50mm frontage and it looked fine.

Have been looking at Field of Battle rules they suggested 1.5 inches fof 25/28 which even at true 25 would be tight

My 28mm guns are all on 40mm wide bases (80mm deep).
It's a squeeze, but they do fit OK, and it's noce to have all my bases the same width.
Here's a picture:

Victrix.
But my old Hinchliffe and Front Rank guns are also based the same way (also my Old Glory Rocket battery for the British)

All my Great Northern war and Sikh Wars artillery are on 50mm frontage. Works just fine even room for some extra bits if its deep enough.

Hi Shipka, yes it was.

Thinking about it. I've also put some of the Outpost Russian and Turkish guns (with crew) on 50mm by 100mm deep bases.
