Yes, the old Denizen orcs are nice - and, like a lot of older models, clearly done with Tolkien in mind (the Lidless Eye on helms and shields).
I'd noticed the common (Angus McBride-inspired!) heritage of the Splintered Light "ogres" and the Wargames Factory orcs. Given that orcs in Middle Earth range from "almost man-high" (for a huge uruk chieftain) to hobbit-sized, they should combine well.
The Viking Forge (formerly Asgard) orcs are terrific - the soldier orcs are clearly based on the Isengard Uruk-hai.
I've just been looking at the
CPM (formerly Splintered Light) bugbears. I think they'd mix quite well with the Splintered Light "ogres"; Tolkien's orcs were hairy, after all. Obviously, the crossbows don't work in Middle Earth.
