Can I ask what the crystal like scenic bits are? They look pretty effective in the setting

The crystals are plastic icicle Christmas tree ornaments from the 'Dollar Tree' store , end cut off and glued to a masonite base, then some various hirst arts cast pieces and joint compound for texture. 

I thought I had a pic or two of just the crystals, I'll try to dig them up.

I've had these painted for several weeks but the manufacturer, Hydra Miniatures, wasn't ready to announce them. They should be up for sale on their webstore soon. They are Empire of Marduk soldiers from the Retro Raygun range.
