Vanvlak's Tanks (Gale Force 9 game) Project - scenery scale question

This is one of my small-project-policy projects: I just bought the starter, so I'll have a Panther (or more likely go the Jagdpanther way) and 2 Shermans.

My query is about scenery - the tanks are 15mm scale; would HO railway scenery go well with them? If I'm not mistaken HO is about 1:87 which would be arouns 16-17mm scale - how would they look together (if anyone tried this)?

I'd've thought that HO buildings might be a little large, there are plenty of manufacturers of 15mm scenery - 4Ground, Sarissa etc all do good buildings at not terrible prices. (if you've got access to a bunch of HO stuff, or a cheap source though, by all means go for it!)

Pity - I asked as i have a small collection of HO stuff lying around. I guess I'll wait and see how they look next to the tanks (which are in the mail), but I'll probably go with something else.

If you've got the stuff lying around then, as you say, see how it looks. The doors are likely to be the parts that look a bit big - but they may be fixable using a little plasticard or even cardboard - good luck with the project!
