Dust would be blown into 'air' but how long would it stay up, as there being no atmosphere the dust particles would drop down  & not float around on air currents

Watch the rooster tails on the moon rovers.

With the low gravity & no atmosphere, any explosions would blow the dust further & faster, dispersing any dust clouds quickly & the dust would not hang around.

Ok good point - and backed up with video footage no less!

Maybe a Martian dust storm would have been a better starting point  :)

Does anyone know if the two "Luna Base" ships here (VU-22 and UD-41) are scaled for 15mm?

Here's their other stuff:

PS.  I wish someone would make a template like this, but for a 15mm moon base:

Another option would be to re-size the top row here to serve as large containers for 15mm:

According to the instructions they are 1/60 scale.

Believe would have to print at 60% size to scale to 1/100.

The dropship might work for 15mm als a pretty large ship, the smaller one has a door with mid height handle that might look out of scale at 15mm.

Excellent!  I should have looked at the instructions before asking.  Thanks so much.

Ebbles' kits work well scaled down to 15mm. The only thing I do different is cut off the glue tabs and make my own from scrap card. It's a little easier that way.

What are people's thoughts for buildings for Moongrunt? All I've seen is the Ion Age buildings. It's probably unrealistic but I really like th aesthetic of geodesic domes in the vaccum.

There is a video here about using 3D printing robots to create domes out of the lunar regolith:-

In the back of the 1st edition 40k rule book there were instructions for making domes by pushing a ball in to damp sand then pouring plaster in to the hole created

http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/infopages/page137.html

I made one of those many years ago, and I think I will find it entertaining to do some to make a moonbase.

Wow!  And if that Terragenesis dome had been painted in tans and grays instead of bright colors, it would have looked like domes covered in lunar regolith.

Sort of - what I'd really like is just the top half of one of those spheres, that sort of idea.
